MonterossoAmare non è solamente un reportage dell’alluvione che ha colpito il paese di Monterosso al Mare nelle Cinque Terre, bensì una riflessione sul territorio natio come monito del degrado del paesaggio Italiano. Il suo non è un voler parlare della situazione ma un dover guardare, la necessità di vedere e l’esigenza di scoprire e capire quale ferita è stata inflitta alla sua terra.
Il progetto, completamente autofinanziato, si fa portavoce dell’anima di Monterosso, accollandosi la sua parte di responsabilità, sopportazione e sofferenza. MonterossoAmare conferma che le attività, le architetture, le invenzioni dell’uomo sono soggette all’umore della natura e all’ambiente che le ospita ma lo fa con onestà, non volendo alludere a nessuna novità, con sincerità pone l’attenzione su quello che realmente c’è.

In about three hours the village of Monterosso, in Cinque Terre, received more than 20 inches of rain, complicated by a fast-moving tornado and landslides. The photographer’s point of view is inescapably intertwined with the fact that Monterosso is her home town. The author sees and understands the injuries inflicted on her land, shouldering her share of responsibility, patience and suffering. This reportage, completely self-finaced, wants to talk about the flood and the landscape degradation in Monterosso as an example of what is happening all over the Italian territory.
